Calling all Chilliwack Starbucks owners! It’s your lucky day – again!
That’s right, addy is happy to announce yet another Owners’ Day for those who invested in the property at 45604 Airport Road in Chilliwack, B.C. This is the fourth distribution for this exciting investment opportunity; let’s break down all the important details.
Starbucks Owners’ Day
Members are likely familiar by now with this popular property – its tenant is Starbucks! This was one of the earlier opportunities that addy offered, initially listed back on August 11, 2020. It quickly sold out and is now owned by over 800 Canadians.
Those owners are rewarded with yet another distribution. The property earned $2,598.70 in Q4 of 2021. That brings the total cash distribution to a robust $11,074.46 from the initial investment. In this quarter, the investment earned a cash distribution yield of approximately 2.38% and a 5.58% annualized return on equity. This improves on the Q3 distribution tha saw a cash yield of 2.2% and return on equity of 5.3%.
How to celebrate Owners’ Day
Congrats on the distribution! What now? Well, there are few different ways you can embrace your newfound return. For one, you can put that money forth into a new addy, and make your earned money continue to earn money for you.
As of this writing, there is still an opportunity to invest in our Clearview property in Toronto. If Clearview isn’t your jam, we recently announced another opportunity to invest in the Maple View Heights purpose-built rental in Mission, BC. If you’re not feeling either of those, there is more coming in the weeks and months ahead.
Of course, you can always choose to take that money out of your addy wallet and put it into your bank. After all, you earned that money and deserve to put it towards your needs and desires.
Then & now
We appreciate all those early members who took part in this crowdfunding cause. At the time, we didn’t offer the Return on Investment (ROI) or the Internal Rate of Return (IRR) in the offering memorandum. A month following the funding, the numbers were crunched and it was determined the Chilliwack property has an ROI of 59.9% and IRR of 10.45%. After that investment, we included both key figures on every OM to follow.
This property holds a special place in our hearts for another reason, as it was the first addy property to reach an Owners’ Day. Back then we were calling it Distribution Day, which didn’t quite have the same ring to it as Owners’ Day but paid all the same. There look to be more distributions to come: the initial plan was to hold the property for 5 years with the potential to sell if advantageous. Stay tuned for updates at the end of Q1 here in 2022.
