Rebound forecast in multifamily rental sales: CBRE

“In 2024 we are forecasting that with the anticipated decrease in interest rates the number of apartment transactions and sales volume will rebound, closer to the levels we saw in year-end 2022,” said Lance Coulson, executive vice-president with CBRE (Western Investor) 

Average Calgary rent jumps by more than 18% year-over-year: report

The average cost to rent a one-bedroom apartment in Calgary has increased dramatically in the past year, new data suggests. The report, by Zumper.com, indicates that the price of a one-bedroom apartment in the city has grown by 18.7 per cent in the past year. (CTV News)

No change on interest rate as Bank of Canada sticks to 5%

The Bank of Canada has announced its key overnight interest rate will remain at five per cent, keeping its benchmark the same for the fourth time in a row. (CBC)

Fast fashion billionaire Amancio Ortega’s family office has acquired a Canadian warehouse leased by Amazon.com Inc., in the latest expansion of his property portfolio. Paid US$272 million for facility in Burnaby. (Financial Post)
