Ever wondered how new features make their way into the addy platform? addy’s Co-Founder Stephen Jagger recently spoke with Implementation Manager Aidan Collins to share the process that transforms user needs and innovative ideas into features that enhance the addy experience. Here’s a look at what goes on behind the scenes.
As addy’s Implementation Manager, Aidan Collins plays a key role in transforming ideas into live features. Working closely with developers and stakeholders, Aidan ensures that each feature is carefully planned, vetted, and aligned with what matters most to users. His role helps bridge user needs and technical execution, making sure addy’s platform grows in valuable and practical ways.
We use the Agile framework, a popular software development method, to make the development process efficient and flexible. Agile’s iterative approach allows addy to release updates incrementally, ensuring that the platform can continually improve without disrupting the user experience.
Not every idea can make it to development. addy’s team uses a process called Business Value Voting to determine which features bring the most benefit to the company and, most importantly, to its members. By involving team members from different areas, the process keeps the focus on high-impact ideas that align with addy’s goals.
