Dale Bellavance/Shield Developments; the General Partner [GP], has over 45 years of senior management and entrepreneurial experience in a wide variety of mid to large-scale recreational, residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Comfortable in government offices, the boardroom, or in the field. Dale’s experience in navigating municipal approvals has been instrumental in the success of some of BC’s most challenging projects.
Throughout his career, Dale has successfully worked with various types of financial institutions, local and offshore investors, stakeholders, and shareholders. He has played a lead role in negotiating with governments, investors, communities, special interest groups, and First Nations.
Dale uses his broad range of international experiences to integrate new technologies and concepts into ongoing projects. Dale’s background in construction includes roads, bridges, infrastructure, single-family, multifamily, commercial, low, and medium-rise buildings.
Since returning to Canada on a full-time basis in 1980, Dale has provided senior management development expertise, including finance, permitting, master planning and construction management throughout Canada. He has been developing since 1980 and provides his consulting expertise for other successful investor’s/developer’s projects, ranging from $2 million to $1.2 billion.
While each of the projects Shield will be developing may be smaller in scope than many of Dale’s successfully completed projects, Dale is excited and passionate about using his experience, connections, and resources to meet Greater Victoria’s urgent housing demand, while (following this project) building a portfolio of stable investments with recurring passive income.
