The addy squad just got back from an action-packed trip to Toronto! We hosted a meetup downtown, grabbed coffees with some members, and joined the VIP gathering at the Your Life. Your Terms. event at Piper’s Heath Golf Club in Milton. The main event took place the next day in Mississauga, drawing over 1,000 real estate investors, operators, developers—and quite a few bitcoiners too. It was a packed house with an incredible speaker lineup. Richard Dias from IceCap Asset Management opened with a powerful keynote breaking down the Canadian economy through data and charts—one of the best we’ve seen (hopefully it gets posted online). He’s also a co-host of The Loonie Hour, one of Canada’s top business podcasts. addy Co-Founder Stephen Jagger took the stage to share the origin story of addy, showcase the platform—and if you were in the room, you know what big announcements were made. If not… stay tuned. |

How A Weakened Canadian Dollar Impacts Commercial Real Estate The Canadian dollar is lower now than it was a year ago, but that may not be a bad thing for commercial real estate. One of the many subplots of the ongoing trade war with the United States is that it has raised the value of the Canadian dollar, somewhat covering up the fact that the CAD has been on years-long slide.
