Alberta and Canada are 80% aligned on potential pipeline proposal, Premier says

Canada and Alberta are not far apart on the terms of a bargain that would create the conditions for a new oil export pipeline to be built in the province in exchange for certain environmental commitments, Premier Danielle Smith told Reuters on Thursday.

📅 Oct 10th – Canada’s Labour Force Survey (LFS) (employment, unemployment) is released monthly by Statistics Canada. The next LFS report (for September) is scheduled for October 10, 2025 (08:30 ET)

📅 Oct 29th – The Bank of Canada’s Interest Rate Announcement (Bank of Canada)

📅 Oct 30th – The Survey of Employment, Payrolls and Hours (SEPH) / job vacancy data are also released; for example, August SEPH and job vacancy data will be updated October 30, 2025. In the most recent data, Canada lost 66,000 jobs in August, and unemployment rose to 7.1 %.
